Abstract

The present study was undertaken to examine the inhibitory effect of the Pergularia daemia on cadmium chloride induced hepatoprotective activity in liver. In rats injected with cadmium chloride, the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), γ-glutamyl transferase (GGT) was significantly (p < 0.05) increased when compared to those values in control rats. The rats administrated with P. daemia extract and cadmium chloride showed a significantly (p < 0.05) decreased levels of serum AST, ALP, LDH and GGT. This study suggested that P. daemia may be implicated as a hepatoprotective agent for therapeutic purposes.

Abstract

Maximizing the network throughput while providing fairness is one of the key challenges in the upcoming Mesh based Wireless Network (MBWN). Unbalanced load in the access point (AP) of infrastructure based MBWN is a critical factor that affects QoS. In order to provide QoS, it is mandatory that the load of APs is balanced. Recent studies on operational MBWN, however, have shown that AP load is often substantially uneven. To optimize such imbalance of load, several load balancing methods have been proposed. These schemes commonly require proprietary software or hardware at the user side for controlling the user-AP association. In this paper we present a new load balancing technique by controlling the size of MBWN cluster (i.e., AP‟s coverage range). The proposed scheme does not require any modification to the users neither the IEEE 802.11 standard. It only requires the ability of dynamically changing the transmission power of the AP beacon messages. We proposed optimal beacon power settings which minimize the load of the most congested AP without disturbing the nodes of the cluster. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed method is comparable with or superior to the best existing association-based methods.

Abstract

Video Enhancement is a wide range of techniques which is used to boost the quality of the video. Video stabilization removes the redundant motion fluctuations present in the video. In this paper, we present a practical method to remove the annoying shaky motion and restructure a stabilized video sequence with good visual quality. Typically, this is achieved by applying a certain amount of corrective motion displacement onto each video frame, such that to cancel the effect of high frequency fluctuations. We present an algorithm for video stabilization comprising three operations: Global Motion Estimation, Image Smoothing, and Image De-Blurring. The experimental results show the capability of the proposed algorithm to reduce the unwanted motion and proved to give the finest results.

Abstract

The autonomous underwater vehicles are operated by power thrust to reach the desired depth. This system consumes more power or thrust and it is overcome by variable buoyancy system. In this project a feedback system is used by employing a control pressure sensor. With the help of this pressure sensor, the depth sensor is to be designed. The signal from the pressure sensor will be used to find the depth of the immersion of autonomous underwater vehicle from the top of the water surface. The signal from the pressure sensor is used to maintain the autonomous underwater vehicle at desired depth level. The sea level pressure is measured with help of pressure sensor. The output of the pressure sensor is an analog signal and is given to the ADC (analog to digital converter) port of microcontroller which takes decision on pumping sequence depending upon the input voltage (the digital value given to it)the microcontroller will control the driver unit to pump either in or out based on control signal. When the required depth level is reached the driver circuits takes some delay and automatically drives the pump out circuit to pump out the water till the preset value is reached. This sequence of pumping in and pumping out of the water will be controlled by the microcontroller for various digital input values.

Abstract

Objectives: To develop the system that maps the natural speech to the lip shape animation. Methods/Analysis: Now a day's speech technology plays a vital role in e-learning especially to design in respond to human voice. This technology mainly used for voice disabled, hearing-disabled and blind and so on. Findings: The sign Language being in use among Deaf and Dumb People. This study proposed the new approach called (LMSDS) Learning Management System for Deaf Students. This system used in speech processing and real-time implementation of chat application. Visual animated face will helpful for deaf students to learn the lip movement language more effectively. Applications: This is used in education for disability, deaf students to learn Lip movement language.

Abstract

Objective: The target of this paper is to implement an economical chopper and electrical converter for the hybrid windsolar system. Method: A replacement topology of a mix of CUK and SEPIC convertor is used rather than a private DC/DC convertor. The motor load is provided by victimization the two diodes that connects each wind and solar energy singly or along depending on accessibility. With the improved management in DC/DC convertor and within the electrical converter that associated with the auxiliary circuit in accumulation by the closed-loop system PI controller a more robust control is achieved. Findings: The fused chopper replaced the separate solar and wind choppers and rather than typical electrical converter the novel pulse width modulated electrical converter used supplied with a correct pulse width modulation (PWM) control using 3 equal reference signals. The closed-loop system management is achieved with the digital PI controller and MPPT draws the maximum power from the solar that improves the response with the fast raise in load. The system is validated with MATLAB/Simulink and therefore the output voltage of fused chopper for various solar irradiance and wind speed are tabulated. The output voltage of electrical converter and therefore the motor characteristics are analyzed. Applications/Improvements: For standalone applications within the agriculture water pumping the requirement will satisfy with the hybrid wind solar system.
